Tom Clancy
The American novelist Thomas Leo "Tom" Clancy, Jr. was born in Baltimore. His father worked for the United States Postal Service and his mother worked in a store’s credit department. He was educated at the Catholic Loyola Blakefield high school in Towson, Maryland, and at Loyola College, graduating with a degree in English Literature in 1969.

Niklas Rådström
The Swedish poet, dramatist and author Niklas Rådström grew up in Södermalm, Stockholm, in a literary family. His father, Pär Rådström, was a well-known author and his mother, Ann-Marie, was the director of a theatre.

Scott Frederick Turow is an American author born in Chicago, Illinois, where his father was working as a physicist. Both parents were descended from Russian Jews. Turow graduated from Trier High School, Winnetka, Illinois, in 1966 and went on to study at Amherst College, Massachusetts, graduating with a BA in 1970.
