Stoker, Bram

The Irish author and journalist Abraham "Bram" Stoker was born at Clontarf near Dublin where he grew up in a middle-class home. His father was a civil servant at Dublin Castle and his twenty years younger wife was a charity worker . Bram Stoker was the third of seven children. He suffered from partial paralysis as a small child, but he later recovered and was able to attend a small religious educational institution.
