Price, Anthony

Anthony Price is a British author and newspaperman born in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire. His parents spent many years in India where his father worked as a corporate accountant. His mother did not tolerate the climate, and when she was pregnant with Anthony she travelled back to England with her eldest son. She died when her youngest son was seven years old, and the two brothers were looked after by a relative in Cornwall until their father returned at the end of the war. He soon remarried, but the brothers did not get on with their stepmother.
