Peter Kihlgård
Swedish author and playwright. He was born in Örebro and grew up in Umeå and Sundsvall. His father Gösta "Stockis" Kihlgård was a professional bandy player who played for Sweden. Peter Kihlgård was educated at Hedbergska skolan, Sundsvall, until 1973. He is married with two daughters and lives in Stockholm.
Before becoming a full time author, he read literature and Swedish, and was about to begin work on his doctoral thesis in the sociology of literature when his writing career took off.
