Nin, Anaïs

Anaïs Nin was an American author born and raised in Paris, Barcelona and New York. Her mother was a soprano of French-Danish descent and her Cuban father was a pianist, composer, music scholar and author. Nin’s father left the family in 1913 after he had met a new woman, and her mother moved to New York the following year together with Nin and her two brothers.
