The American crime writer Diane Mott Davidson was born, one of six siblings, in Honolulu, Hawaii, where her father, a naval officer, was then stationed. She grew up in Washington D.C. as well as in Charlottesville, Virginia, where she attended St. Anne’s School. Her education continued at Wellesley College in Boston, Massachusetts, which only accepts female pupils, and she lived in the same student corridor as Hillary Rodman, who later married Bill Clinton.
