Backstrom is a homophobic, sexist, chauvinist, corrupt, egocentric, complacent, drinking police inspector that looks down on most of his colleagues and fellow human beings. She is tough and skilled in her job, and in her private life is married to businessman Roarke, who has a dubious background.
